About the Game

In Hens & Lances, you’re thrust into a chaotic world where you, the knight, must rescue your princess from a group of vicious pirates firing endless cannonballs. But the adventure doesn’t stop there—an army of determined hens is also rushing in to save their princess! Dodge cannon fire, avoid wayward hens, and sprint for the pirate ship in this fast-paced, incremental runner.

Drawing inspiration from the classic runner genre, Hens & Lances adds a twist with its incremental speed mechanic: you’ll need to keep accelerating to stay ahead of the escalating challenge. Move too slowly, and you’ll be overwhelmed by cannonballs; go too fast, and you risk losing control!

This game was developed by Cool Guys Studio for the Rebirth 3rd Edition Game Jam, featuring a unique aesthetic that blends pixel-art characters with a vibrant 3D environment.

How to Play

Your knight automatically moves toward the pirate ship. Accelerate and switch lanes with to dodge cannon fire and oncoming hens. The speed and difficulty ramp up over time, so use short, repeated bursts of acceleration to stay one step ahead!
